Federal Department of Transportation regulations effective August 1, 2001 require that Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) have certain credentials, possess specific knowledge, receive qualification training, and pass a national examination.

SAP Referral Services (SRS) is a proud promoter of Program Services:

”Substance Abuse Professional Qualification Training for D.O.T. SAP Evaluations plus National Exam”

and

“Substance Abuse Professional Renewal Training (US D.O.T.)”

These classes cover the requirements for SAPs conducting substance abuse assessments on applicants and employees who are in violation of the Department of Transportations Regulation 49 CFR Part 40.

This program is restricted to professionals who are, licensed physicians (including MDs and Osteopathic Physicians), licensed Psychologists, licensed or certified Social Workers, licensed or certified Marriage and Family Therapists, licensed or certified Employee Assistance Professionals, and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors certified by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), International Certification Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (ICRC) or the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).

SRS is pleased to offer Program Services DOT SAP training, national examination and re-qualification training. All of which are provided by home study, email, or online course. Program Services national examination has been externally validated as per the federal regulations. An 80% correct score is required for certification. The examination is included in the purchase price of the home study and online training and is also available as a stand-alone examination online, by mail or email.
